Pop or falla?
A monumental sculpture by Seward Johnson, opposite Key West Museum. A sculptural interpretation of Alfred Eisenstadt’s famous photograph of a couple kissing on the last day of the Second World War.
According to the nurse, Greta Friedman, it was not a romantic gesture but what, these days, would be considered sexual harassment (I fear the sailor would be stoned). Eight metres of bronze painted in ultrarealistic colours. Like a Jeff Koons, but much better.
